ETERNAL DEFORMITY – Frozen Circus (Code666) – From Poland with a rather intriguing mix of circus metal and slightly grotesque industrial/gothic onslaught – grotesque in a positive manner though, kind of circus freak show waiting for the trapeze artist to fall on the share slicing guitar riffs and the euro-prog atmosphere. They lull you with their moody atmospheres then stomp you again just as you’re letting your guard down. Think early Marillion go death/goth metal and thrash about with cod-classical onslaughts and the kitchen sink and the gates of hell and eternal deformity indeed.
